One of the speakers at Tedx Brooklyn was Sam Cochran, the founder of SMIT (Sustainably Minded Interactive Technology) and creator of Solar Ivy. SMIT embraces non-toxic and recyclable materials to create solar panels. Their principle design for solar panels is Solar Ivy, a system of individual panels that can be applied to sides of buildings through the use of wire mesh. The most interesting application of this product is that it can be shaped into advertisements that also create energy. I find this very interesting because it is a company that is actually using the technology that I am working with for my Sol-Charge company. Who knows, I might have found a company that can make Sol-Charge happen.
