Cars of the Future

The last speaker of the day at Tedx Brooklyn was Dr. Mitchell Joachim. He is an architect and designer who is a leader in ecological design and urbanism. He spoke about many ideas, one of which was cars and transportation ideas for the future. Firstly, he designed a motor that would be contained within the wheels of the car, thusly freeing up the overall design of the car. Many of his designs focused on a car share program. He also designed cars made from soft materials that would not only be safer, but would create a more interactive driving experience by having cars that could bump each other. Like bumper cars on city streets. Overall, he had a lot of interesting ideas for the future and I'm excited to see if any of them come to completion.

An interview with him about these cars can be viewed here: http://bigthink.com/ideas/16378
