I found this funny, and a little frightening, article entitled Top 10 Ironic Ads From History from the consumerist.com linked on boingboing. It's very interesting to see the products that were once advertised as "helpful" in some way, but were later found to be dangerous. The image above is an advertisement for a factory in India, that later blew-up and killed 25,000 people. Reading this combined with all the Kurzweil posts, makes me wonder what we maybe apologizing for in the future. Some of these ads were not just Innocent mistakes, some were the direct result of dishonest companies and greed. Don't forget your morals, no matter what the cost.
